, noibi, was questioned by the f.b.i. noibi told the f.b.i. he was in l.a. to recruit people for his software business. he claimed he simply found the unused boarding pass and admitted not buying a ticket. agents then traced the boarding pass to its rightful owner and confirmed he had lost the boarding pass on a new york subway and simply had printed another one at the airport kiosk. when the f.b.i. found no apparent connections to terror, noibi was turned loose, but only for four days. f.b.i. agents arrested him yesterday when they found noibi back at l.a.x. trying to board yet another flight, delta 46 to atlanta, again with a boarding pass that was not his own. and a search of his two bags turned up even more suspect documents-- at least ten more boarding passes in various names. noibi's now charged with being a stowaway on an aircraft. now, the t.s.a. says noibi was screened for explosives and weapons and in that sense presented no real threat or imminent threat to the plane. but it was a fundamental failure at the screening checkpoint-- he never should have got on with the papers

at the f.b.i. while the president makes shrifts to his national security team. i have a met with the president and hearing his request, i immediately went to work with a bipartisan group of senators to draft and introduce a bill to create a one-time exception to the statute which we have that limits the term of the f.b.i. director to ten years. i worked in a bipartisan manner to hold a hearing and report the legislation to the full senate on june 16, 2011. worked in such a way that could not be seen as a democratic or republican bill. it was bipartisan. unfortunately, it then took a month to get consent from the other side to consider the bill. when we did, the senate was able to pass a version of it on july 21. the house of representatives, to their credit, followed suit on july 25. the president of the united states signed our bill into law yesterday. now, the president's nomination of director mueller shows there was never any effort to impose a legislative appointment upon the president. the request to extend director mueller originated with the president, not congress, nor was i

that the f.b.i. has opened an investigation into whether news corps staffers tried to hack into the phones of 9/11 victims. that is the parent campaign of fox news and dealing with the scandal that started at one of the british newspapers. investigators say staffers at "news of the world" tabloid hacked into voice accounts of people they covered. the newspaper has been closed but the controversy has in the died. yesterday, new york congressman peter king requested the f.b.i. examine allegations that newspaper staffers tried to get 9/11 victims phone records. and now it appears that investigation has officially begun and this comes as new corps chairman and chief executive officer murdoch and his son, chief operating officer, signal they will appear before british lawmakers to answer questions about the scandal. we're told, both men will appear before a parliamentary committee on tuesday. if the president and congress do not agree on a deal do raise the debt ceiling a number of the experts say the consequences could be catastrophic. they say without a deal on august 3rd president oba
